![]() For example, iOS 12.0.1 included a fix where some iPhone XS devices had a problem charging immediately after begin connected to a Lightning cable. On October 8th, Apple rolled out iOS 12.0.1 with a few bug fixes. iOS 12.1 featured Group FaceTime, 70 new emoji, depth control in the Camera app and dual SIM support. In conjunction with Apple's Special Event at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Apple rolled out the major iOS 12.1 update on October 30th. There is speculation that this was simply a maintenance update for the iPhone XR and did not have any added features. The second release of iOS 12.1 for the iPhone XR got shipped on November 6th. Additional features included the ability to hide the sidebar while viewing the News app in landscape orientation on the iPad, a dictation bug fix in VoiceOver and real-time text (RTT) while using Wi-Fi calling on iPad and iPod touch. And Live Photo capture during one-to-one FaceTime calls was added as well. In the iOS 12.1.1 update, the one tap to flip feature between the rear- and front-facing cameras during a FaceTime call was added. ![]() Shortly after this update was released, T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T began to support the eSIM feature. And for the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, dual SIM with eSIM support was added. ![]() iOS 12.1.1 included notification preview using Haptic Touch on the iPhone XR. The iOS 12.1.1 update was released on December 5th. And aside from the potential patent workaround, iOS 12.1.2 includes a fix for bugs associated with eSIM activation for the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Plus iOS 12.1.2 contains a fix for an issue that affects cellular connectivity in Turkey for the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
